JOB SUMMARY

The overall objective and purpose of Entertainment Coordinator is to assist the Entertainment & Activities Director with all entertainment Events and activities on the property as well as be an ambassador for the Entertainment offerings such as being a Tour Guide, supporting all areas of Family Programming.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the administrative components of the Entertainment Department as needed.
  • Assist in the execution of performances on Plant Riverside property and District Live.
  • When needed, with coordination of the Production Technician, assist in securing additional working hands and equipment for individual performances.
  • Prepare and retrieve all permits necessary for performances in District Live and Plant Riverside.
  • Perform as support Production Technician and or lead (lights, sound, stagehand) when needed in all performance areas.
  • Point of contact, day of show (DOS) for Georgia Southern University/Gretsch performance events.
  • Perform routine review of Plant Riverside internal and external audio system. Communicate needed repairs/enhancements.
  • Evening and weekend coverage will be expected on a needed basis.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment. 
  • Communicates, timely, to emails, texts and phone messages.
  • Assist and sometimes operate special event activations.
  • Contributes to Departments seeking entertainment for either in-house or private events held at Plant Riverside.
  • Handle procurement needs for the department and for events related to Entertainment Department involvement. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory and leadership responsibilities include achieving results through providing direction and accountability of the following Grand Performers within the culture and policies established by the Kessler Collection.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, License, Certifications, Experience

  • High-school diploma or GED - required
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title - preferred
  • 1+ year of customer service or hospitality experience - preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

  • Push, pull, and lift up to 75lbs on a weekly basis.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus,  airplane or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting and standing for long and short periods of time.
